RNDr. Tomáš Rieger, Head Embryologist at Gynem clinic in Prague, will explain differences of the IVF methods that he works with at Gynem Clinic. He will cover methods of sperm retrieval and selection, semen analyses, laboratory techniques of embryo cultivation as EmbryoGen, EmbryoScope, or EmbryoGlue and then he will highlight the benefits of the newest GAVI method as labs using the Gavi® system are able to consistently achieve and surpass a post-thaw blastocyst survival rate of 95%—irrespective of the embryologist’s experience level.. Beyond the standard lab practices that form the core of IVF protocols lies an arsenal of supplementary techniques. While ancillary, these can yet be telling in the final outcome of fertility treatment and can markedly enhance the processes of sperm retrieval and selection, fertilisation, embryo culture and transfer, and cryopreservation.
